A Great Way to Drum Up New Business

QR code
Certainly one way to arrange a face-to-face meeting with an insurance agent.

We’re all for the use of the technology when it comes to branding yourself and getting your message out to the public. A QR (quick response) code is a valuable tool, allowing viewers to scan the code into their QR Code reader on their phone. Once the code is scanned, it takes them directly to your website (or whatever landing page you want.)

Having said that, the placement of QR codes is often where big boo-boos happen. Last time I checked, it was illegal in California to use your phone in any way while driving your car (even while sitting at a red light.) So in order to scan this, I would have to run afoul of the law and potentially get a ticket. Ironically, I’d be asked for license, registration, and (wait for it…) proof of insurance.

QR codes good? Yes! QR codes good on the back of moving vehicles? No!

Have a safe weekend, eyes ahead and hands at 10 and 2!
